How to Reset a Pixel 6 Pro.

Learn how to soft reset (reboot without losing files), factory reset via the Settings application, or hard reset your Pixel 6 Pro using hardware button combinations inside Android Recovery or iOS DFU mode.

Soft Reset (Force Restart)

Step 1Hold Power button for 30 seconds

Keep holding until the device vibrates and restarts.

Factory Reset via Settings

Step 1Settings -> System -> Reset Options

Go to System settings.

Step 2Tap "Erase all data (factory reset)"

Confirm with PIN and erase.

Factory Reset via Recovery Mode

⚠️ Warning: Google FRP triggers on setup. Ensure you know your Google account details.

Step 1Power off. Hold Power + Volume Down

Enters Fastboot mode.

Step 2Select "Recovery Mode"

Use Volume keys to select and Power to confirm.

Step 3Hold Power + press Volume Up once

Opens the actual Recovery menu when the Android robot with exclamation mark appears.

Step 4Select "Wipe data/factory reset"

Confirm and reboot.
