How to Reset a iPhone SE (2nd gen).
Learn how to soft reset (reboot without losing files), factory reset via the Settings application, or hard reset your iPhone SE (2nd gen) using hardware button combinations inside Android Recovery or iOS DFU mode.

Soft Reset (Force Restart)
Step 1Hold Home + Side buttons simultaneously
Keep holding both buttons for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release.
✅ Good to know: This does NOT erase data.
Factory Reset via Settings
Step 1Open Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone
Navigate to settings.
Step 2Tap "Erase All Content and Settings" and enter your credentials
Enter PIN and confirm.
Factory Reset via Recovery Mode
⚠️ Warning: Erases all data. iCloud Activation Lock will apply after restore.
Step 1Connect to computer
Plug in USB and launch iTunes/Finder.
Step 2Enter Recovery Mode
Hold Home + Side buttons together until the recovery mode screen is displayed.
Step 3Click "Restore"
Re-install iOS and erase the device.
